How To: Wear Plaid

how to wear plaid

Plaid is so IN right now, with everyone rocking it whenever they can. Celebrities are rocking full on dresses and outfits entirely of plaid while the rest of us still stick to incorporating one plaid piece into our look. Plaid, with it’s array of different shades, basic design, and overall warmth will always have a place in our fashion world. The problem we see a lot of fashionistas facing is how to incorporate plaid into a look and make it work. Because of it’s specific design and shades, many may feel intimidated to throw it on into an outfit.

We’ve, however, found the perfect look where plaid was incorporated in a subtle manner to make quite the statement. Seen in the photograph above is a model whose fashion skills were really put to the test. The gorgeous blonde is seen wearing an outfit that looks simply casually chic, the perfect look for a regular fall day out. Her white t-shirt was tucked into her medium washed, slightly distressed skinny jeans with the anklets rolled up. An oversized beige cardigan complemented the medium toned ankle booties the model had on! The real eye-catching piece of the entire look was the plaid chunky scarf.

The array of neutral shades created the perfect canvas for the bright red of the scarf that brought the outfit from casual plain to casual fab! A look like this is the perfect way to incorporate plaid and you can mix and match as well with different plaid pieces in different areas! Swap the scarf for a plaid top or even a plaid skirt! Don’t be afraid to rock this perfectly awesome fall trend that’s been around for years!
